Why are sponsors needed?

Sponsorship helps cover costs that include but are not limited to: venues, marketing, promotional material, transportation, display set ups, prints, inviting artists and creatives and more. Sponsorship also keeps the event free by removing the barrier of cost. Most events charge for attendance and participation. UME is free to all who are bold enough to face their fears, or have the courage to express their vulnerabilities in front of an audience.

UME is an opportunity for creatives to have an audience all while building a community that values emotional health and fundraises for local non-profits PAAR, and Proud Haven.

Sponsorship levels & perks

Make a monster. Each sponsor will get an original monster added to the sponsor board based on their level of donation. Each level has its own unique perks.

$5 - $19 : Worm

Your own worm on the sponsor board, choose the color.

$20- $59: Mini monster

Tiny one eye monster + your initials on the sponsor board, comes with a 8x10” print of sponsor board.

$60- $99: Freak of Nature

2 or more eyes and might have legs, + name on the sponsor board, with an 11” x 17” print of the sponsor board.

$100 - $499: Cryptid

Legs, arms, eyes, horns, a grad A monster + your name on sponsor board, 8”x10” print of your monster + 11”x 17” sponsor board print. Art voucher: $30 to $99

$500 - $799: Nightmare

Large detailed monster + name on sponsor board and flyers. 11’x17’ Monster & Sponsor board print. Art voucher: $100 - $349

$800 and up: Kaiju

Giant monster fully detailed + name on sponsor board, flyers and shout out during the event. 11” x 17” print of your monster and a 30”x40” print of the sponsor board signed by participating creatives, volunteers and support professionals. Behind the scene video download. Art voucher: $350 -$500

Unsettled, Monstrous Emotion (UME) is a passion project created by Sheila D.A. Inculta started in 2023. The goal is to build a safe place to express challenging emotions, and raise awareness for the need of supportive spaces and services.

UME is becoming a once a year fundraising art showcase. Artists and creatives are challenged to express their own emotional vulnerability based on the common theme of facing uncomfortable emotions. All work submissions by creatives, artists, and or participants in the show is done on a volunteer basis. All participants keep all intellectual rights to their work. All art and merch will be for sale.

Show proceeds will be donated to local nonprofits PAAR ( Pittsburgh action against rape) and Proud Haven ( a safe space and resources for LGBTQIA+ youth)
